Modena Golf Modena Golf & Country Club is situated in a strategic position and can be quickly and easily reached from any direction, in fact Modena (only 10 km away) Sassuolo, Vignola, Carpi and other important cities are all nearby. Spread over a 100 hectares and built following a design by the German champion Bernhard Langer, due to its constructive characteristics the golf course is one of the best in Italy. The wide greens and tees, the fairway design and the five artificial lakes make this course the ideal venue for a top level competition like the Italian Open, that celebrated its 50th edition here. An executive course, wide driving range and two tennis courts complete the sports facilities on offer. The club also has a restaurant, where sophisticated and local dishes can be enjoyed, a bar, two swimming pools, a bill iard room and TV and card lounges to welcome players and their guests after their golfing "efforts". Golf Matilde di Canossa The Matilde di Canossa Golf Club, which was founded in 1987, is situated just outside the city OF Reggio Emilia in the heart of the marvellous "Matildic Lands". The spectacular setting offers magnificent views of an area that is full of history and tradition. The course, designed by the architect Marco Croze, has 18 holes on a course of over 6,200 metres, par 72, and is characterised by a huge variety of configurations, due above all to the Quaresimo Stream that flows through the entire course. The gentle natural slopes and vegetation make the game technical, fascinating and extremely entertaining. The course is surrounded by enchanting panoramic views, offering an exciting sense of freedom and direct contact with nature. San Valentino Golf The San Valentino Golf Club is situated in a valley over 300 metres above sea level in the neighbourhood of the same name, in the municipality of Castellarano. It is surrounded by over 130 hectares of woodland and green pastures and boasts 4 lakes. It is a setting where the scales undeniably tip in favour of nature and the top-quality services offered blend in perfectly with the surroundings. Despite the few water obstacles, the 18-hole championship golf course is highly intriguing thanks to its hilly terrain and the considerable difference in height between the holes. The very fast greens are nearly all protected by bunkers. The width of the fairways varies, with constantly changing degrees of difficulty and emotion. The beautiful clubhouse, which covers an area of over 3,000 square metres, stands between holes 9 and 18 and welcomes players and their partners in elegant and comfortable surroundings. La Rocca Golf Established in 1985, La Rocca Golf Club sits on the hills that dominate Parnia's plain, close to the ducal village of Sala Baganza. This is a technical and moderately difficult course set amidst oak and acacia woods and artificial lakes. The course, 18 holes, par 71, S.S.S. 71, covers 6,076 metres. In the surrounding area, in addition to Parnia's monuments and museums that are only 13 km away, there are a number of interesting places such as Torrechiara Castle, Fontanellato, Colorno, Soragna and Canossa fortresses. The neighbouring Boschi di Carrega Regional Park boasts a huge variety of flora and fauna in 1,000 hectares of woods and glades. There's golf, art, history, ecology and excellent Partnesan cuisine in the ancient "Casinetto", which is now the club restaurant.
